From skull base tumors (anterior foramen magnum meningioma, sphenoid wing meningioma, redo pituitary tumor) to pediatric neurosurgery (glioma, scalp eosinophilic granuloma), the variety was immense. On the reconstructive side, I carried out five cranioplasties, including an anterior skull base reconstruction, along with a sacral flap closure and removal of an infected cranial bone flap.

Emergencies kept us on our toes: decompressions for ICH, massive ischemic infarct, and hemorrhagic transformation, as well as an EVD for intraventricular hemorrhage. In spine surgery, we tackled both lumbar decompression and L4–L5 discectomy. Oncology and infection added further depth with low-grade glioma involving tentorium/midbrain, biopsy for multifocal GBM, mastoidectomy for skull base osteomyelitis, and shunt for NPH.

Each case was a reminder of the breadth and responsibility of neurosurgery — from life-saving decompressions to intricate skull base work and delicate pediatric operations. None of this would have been possible without a committed team, dedicated support staff, and the trust of patients and families.
